Tina Herrera

Tina Herrera is a seasoned leader of technology market development and investment management with over 25 years of experience in public and private sectors. As an advisor, CMO and Head of Client Services at Sharper Granite LLC, she is responsible for helping clients achieve their financial goals while leading education and customer focused initiatives. Ms. Herrera began her career at NASA as an engineer, conducting research and managing space life science experiments. As the internet boomed, she was recruited to develop markets for new technologies, leading teams at Cisco Systems and Juniper Networks and helping to take Meru public.

Ms. Herrera received two degrees from the University of California at Berkeley – an MBA from the Haas School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. Ms. Herrera also earned a Master of Science in engineering from the University of California at Davis and a marketing certificate from Harvard. Additionally, she is an alumna of the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy and winner of their business plan competition.

Ms. Herrera’s early involvement as a student leader at Cal solidified her commitment to service. Following her term as Chair of the National Board of Directors of YWCA USA, she was elected as Treasurer of World YWCA Board of Directors supporting a network of women-led agencies in over 80 countries. In this role she also chairs the Investment Advisory Group, overseeing the World YWCA endowment and investment managers. Locally, Ms. Herrera’s philanthropic service includes board membership at Notre Dame High School where she chairs the finance committee. She is also a member of Philanthropic Ventures’ Donor Advised Fund board, supplying grants to bay area non-profits. And, in honor of her sister who was an alumna, Tina serves on the San Francisco State University Foundation board.
